Pete Lampron - Instrumental Guitarist
Shut up and play
Pete used to talk too much on stage.
Years ago, during a performance, his best friend and longtime bandmate gave him some playful but unforgettable advice: “Shut up and play.” Besides being generally solid wisdom, that moment sparked a creative shift that led Pete toward focusing on what he truly does best — expressive, soulful lead guitar.
Over the years, Pete has written dozens of original songs, recorded in multiple studios — including sessions for Wild Oats Records in Nashville — and opened for national and international touring artists. Through all of those experiences, one thing became clear: people connected most deeply with his guitar playing.
So why not perform with a full band?
Beyond the scheduling, logistical, and financial challenges that come with coordinating multiple musicians, Pete discovered that performing solo with professionally produced backing tracks created something unique. No pounding drums. No overpowering vocals. No massive stage setup. Just tasteful, high-quality live lead guitar performances with a small footprint and complete control over the atmosphere.
The result is an experience that has to be heard — and seen — to be fully appreciated.
Pete creates mood, vibe, and energy without overwhelming the room. His performances provide the touch and spontaneity of live music while keeping the focus where it belongs: on your guests, your conversation, and your event.
Originally from New Hampshire, Pete now resides in the quiet hamlet of Congress, AZ with the love of his life, Cheryl. After more than 50 years of playing guitar, Pete has learned to let the instrument do the talking.
And simply… shut up and play.
